Professor of Economics

Elias Dinopoulos

 

Professor Dinopoulos teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in international economics. His recent research has focused on global income inequality, international trade policy, and endogenous growth theory. He is oneĀ of the two recipients of the 1994 Schumpeter Prize, which was administered by the International Joseph Schumpeter Society. He served as a co-editor for the Review of Development Economics (2001-2020) and the Journal of Evolutionary Economics (2005-2018). Before joining the University of Florida faculty in 1988, Professor Dinopoulos was a Michigan State University and a Brown University faculty member. He has served as a visiting scholar for the International Monetary Fund and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and as a consultant to the World Bank and the government of Greece.
