• Hello! My name is Asala, and I am from Jordan. I came to the United States for the first time in 2016 after being awarded a Fulbright scholarship to pursue my MA in linguistics at the University of Iowa. I was also an instructor of Arabic during my program at Iowa. This semester, I am assisting the Arabic Department with Arabic classes and the Arabic Language Cafe. I am highly interested in Second Language Acquisition, culture, and creating a learning environment that is fun, personalized, and meets the learners’ needs.
