Research

I’m a PhD candidate at the University of Florida working on black hole dynamics in the post-Newtonian formalism. My most recent work has been in application to highly eccentric binaries, hierarchical triples, and n-body systems.

Areas of Interest

Gravity, General Relativity, Gravitational Waves, Black Hole Dynamics, Post-Newtonian Theory

Background

I grew up in the mountains of Northern California, where the clear night sky inspired my dreams of becoming an astrophysicist. At the age of 19, I moved to Austria, working as a nanny and tutor, whilst acquiring the level of German required to attend university. I received my BSc in physics from the University of Innsbruck, Austria becoming the first in my family to receive a degree in higher education. I then returned to the US to pursue my PhD at the University of Florida where I’m now in my final year.
