Title: Geometric Inequalities in General Relativity

Abstract: Over thirty years ago Schoen/Yau and Witten independently established the positive mass theorem.   This seminal result spurred much development in mathematical relativity. In the intervening years there have been many advances which will be highlighted in this talk. In particular we will focus on recent progress, and on geometric inequalities that are motivated by the Cosmic Censorship Conjecture.
