The theory ones in regular text and computational problems in bold italic. If you choose the homework option (as opposed to a project), you must do 20 problems from this list. Some restrictions:

Each of the 20 problems must be from a different section.

At least 10 problems have to be from the theory list.

Although the computational problems specify Matlab, you can use any language, but it will usually need some built-in linear algebra functionality.

If you are planning to take either a PhD or Master’s exam based on this course, you should choose all your problems from the theory list. No computational problems will be on these exams.

All homework must be turned in in hardcopy on the last day of classes, Wednesday, December 6.

page 10: 1.3

page 15: 2.2, 2.3, 2.5

page 24: 3.3. 3.5

page 30: 4.4, 4.5

page 37: 5.2, 5.4

page 47: 6.1, 6.3, 6.5

page 55: 7.4, 7.5

page 62: 8.2

page 76: 10.1, 10.2, 10.4

page 85 11.1, 11.3

page 96: 12.1, 12.3

page 101: 13.1, 13.2

page 107: 14.1

page 113: 15.1abc, 15.2

page 120: 16.2

page 128: 17.3(a)

page 154: 20.1, 20.2

page 161: 21.2, 21.3, 21.5

page 171: 22.1

page 177: 23.1, 23.2

page 188: 24.1, 24.2ac, 24.3, 24.4

page 194: 25.1

page 200: 26.1, 26.2, 26.3

page 209: 27.1, 27.2

page 218: 28.1, 28.2ab

page 223: 29.1

page 233: 30.1, 30.3, 30.7

page 240: 31.5

page 255: 33.2

page 265: 34.3

page 274: 35.2

page 283: 36.1

page 292: 37.4

page 302: 38.5ab, 38.6

["post-1041","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
