Dr. Cahill earned his Ph.D. in Legal Psychology from Florida International University, his Master of Arts Degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and his bachelor\u0092s degree in Psychology from Illinois State University. He has published empirical papers investigating eyewitness decision making, juror decision making, the ability to detect deception in Fake News Tasks, the measurement of various psychopathologies (particularly in prison inmates), teaches advanced classes on Cognition, Memory, Legal Psychology, and Research Methodology, and has given numerous talks at various national conferences on topics related to the application of psychology to the legal system.
