Text<\/strong>: Using and Understanding Mathematics (6th ed.) by Bennett and Briggs<\/p>\n

You will also need a scientific calculator; graphing or phone calculators are NOT allowed.<\/p>\n

This course is designed to serve non-science and non-business majors in fulfilling their Gordon Rule mathematics requirement.\u00a0 This course demonstrates the beauty and utility of mathematics. Topics include: financial management, linear and exponential modeling, mathematics in the arts, voting and apportionment<\/p>\n

Assessment<\/strong>:\u00a0 Three tests plus a Final Exam (24 points each). Your best three tests\/exam and best four of five worksheets (7 points each) will compose your final grade(NO MAKE-UPS). Alternate assessment will not be administered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
