You may use the previous<br>\nedition and\/or the version without boundary value problems if you prefer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Description and Goals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MAP2302 is a course covering first-order ordinary differential equations, theory of linear ordinary differential equations, solution of linear ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients, the Laplace transform and its application to solving linear ordinary differential equations. It also covers series solution, graphical, and numerical approximations to solutions of differential equations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The laws of nature are expressed as differential equations. Scientists and engineers must know how to model the world in terms of differential equations, and how to solve those equations and interpret the solutions.
