Sequencing of the\u00a0<i>Neurospora crassa<\/i>\u00a0genome was conducted by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wi.mit.edu\/about\/history\/genome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whitehead Institute\/MIT Center for Genome Research<\/a>\u00a0and the WICGR database for\u00a0<i>Neurospora<\/i>\u00a0is available\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fgsc.net\/Neurospora\/neurospora.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><i>Neurospora crassa,<\/i>\u00a0is a<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>central organism in the<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>history of twentieth-century<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>genetics, biochemistry and<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>molecular biology.<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>Here, we report a<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>high-quality draft sequence<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>of the\u00a0<i>N. crassa<\/i><sup>\u00a0<\/sup>genome.
