Description and Goals
La meta de este curso es producir obra de calidad publicable. Con este fin leeremos la literatura mexicana, además de contemplar algunas películas y muchos artículos de crítica académica. Cada estudiante escribirá un trabajo analítico pensado para una revista académica. A lo largo del semestre, se escribirán por lo menos tres versiones del trabajo, tras entregar dos bibliografías y una propuesta de tema. Se analizarán los textos en clase según los ejes del petróleo y las plantas. Veremos la utilidad de dos prefijos: petro- y fito (phyto-, en inglés). Pensaremos la petrocultura y la fitocultura y los problemas alrededor de ellas en términos de los temas del día, tales como la militarización, la financialización y la energopolítica.
Las lecturas favorecen ejemplos literarios de los siglos XX y XXI, con propuestas de modelos para pensar la comedia romántica y el cine melodramático mexicanos además de los géneros de la literatura impresa. La complicidad intelectual con la gubernamentalidad a través de la gestión energética (energopoder) formará un concepto clave. Lxs estudiantes que deseen combinar textos mexicanos con los de otro país con el fin de lograr una trayectoria de investigaciones coherente disfrutarán del apoyo de la profesora.
