AMS Fall 2025 Eastern Virtual Sectional Meeting

In Fall 2025, I am organizing a special session on “LS-category and Topological Complexity: Theory and Applications” at the Eastern Virtual Sectional Meeting of the American Mathematical Society. My co-organizer is Dr. Jesús González. The registration for the meeting has been closed by the AMS as of September 2, 2025. A list of confirmed speakers will be declared by September 15, 2025.

Description

This AMS special session will include talks on a variety of topics from algebraic topology and topological robotics. Most talks will focus on topological complexity, Lusternik–Schnirelmann category, robot motion planning problems, and homotopy invariants related to (or analogous to) sectional category. For more details, check out our session’s listing on MathMeetings.
