  • Wed Oct 26: We will discuss SOLUTION TO HOMEWORK 2(corrected
    Question 1 of EXAM 2 was handed out in class and will be due at my office LIT 408 by 4:30pm Thursday. This is a take home question and it must handwritten on the copy given in class. It will be returned to you at the beginning of class on Friday for use during the exam.

    If some reason you missed class, then you must send me an email and arrange to pick up a hard copy from my office LIT 408.

  • Mon Oct 24: HOMEWORK 2 due at the beginning of class. We discussed SOLUTION to HOMEWORK 1 and proved some properties of complex integration.

  • Tue Oct 4: TAKE HOME QUIZ 4 is due at LIT 408 by 4PM, Tuesday, October 4.
  • Mon Oct 3: Quiz 4 on Cauchy Riemann Equations (See Suggested Problems for pp.70-71 of Textbook). Same conditions as Quiz 3 (work in groups of 1,2 or 3). Quiz 4 will be given out in the second half of the period and will be due by 4:00pm Tuesday at my office (LIT 408).

WEEK 6
  • Fri Sep 30: Cauchy Riemann Equations in polar form. Finished with the definition of Analytic Function.
  • Wed Sep 28:
  • Mon Sep 26: EXAM 1 handed back. We went over Exam 1. We continued with Chapter 2 covering the Cauchy-Riemann Equations.

WEEK 5

  • Fri Sep 23: EXAM 1 (covers material up to but not including the Cauchy-Riemann Equations). Exam will start 5 minutes earlier will stop 5 minutes late.
  • Wed Sep 21: Went over solution to the Practice Exam.
  • Tue Sep 20: Take home QUIZ 3 due at my office LIT 408 by 4PM. Make a copy of your work before handing it in. A groups of 1, 2 or 3 are allowed.
  • Mon Sep 19: QUIZ 3. QUIZ 3 is a Practice Exam. It covers all material up to and including Fri Sep 16. Notes and books are allowed. You may work in groups of 1, 2 or 3. Extra time outside of class may also be given.

WEEK 3

  • Fri Sep 9: QUIZ 2
  • Wed Sep 7: QUIZ 2 postponed to Friday, Sep 9. Bring pp.3-11 of Chapter 2 NOTES to class.
  • Mon Sep 5: Labor Day Holiday

WEEK 2

  • Fri Sep 2: Class cancelled due to weather
  • Wed Aug 31: Bring pp.17-18 of Chapter 1 NOTES and pp.1-5 of Chapter 2 NOTES.
  • Mon Aug 29: Bring the notes for all of Chapter 1 to class
    and the first couple of pages of Chapter 2. QUIZ 1 (Monday, August 29) covers material from last Monday and Wednesday.

WEEK 1

  • Fri Aug 26: On Wednesday we covered pp.7-9 of the Chapter 1 NOTES. Bring the notes for all of Chapter 1 to class. We covered up to p.13 of Chapter 1 Notes.
  • Wed Aug 24: On Monday we completed most of pp.1-6 of the NOTES. Print out and bring pp.7-18 of the Chapter 1 NOTES.
  • Mon Aug 22: First day of class. Start reading Chapter 1 of the textbook and work on the Suggested Homework Problems for Chapter 1.
    Print out Part 1 of Chapter 1 NOTES and bring to class.
