Bob Graham Center for Public Service

bgcLecturer & Civic Engagement Coordinator

The Graham Center is a community of scholars, students and citizens dedicated to civic engagement, participatory government, and training the leaders of tomorrow. The Graham Center exists as both a public policy think tank and a leadership training program for civically engaged students to make an impact in either the public or private sectors.

In January 2016, I was appointed Lecturer and Civic Engagement Coordinator for the Graham Center, overseeing various student programs, including teaching IDS 2338: Democratic Engagement and Public Leadership (formerly titled Rethinking Citizenship), the Civic Scholars Program, the Healthy 3C Grant Initiative, the Virtual Internship Program (VIP), the City of Gainesville Fellowship, and as faculty advisor to various Student Organizations, such as the Graham Student Fellows and the Andrew Goodman Foundation Vote Everywhere Ambassadors. From 2011 to 2016, I had worked at the Graham Center as a Graduate Assistant.

In this role I am able to work with high-achieving students interested in public policy and public service. I am able to mentor and advise students, develop new research and internship programs, and continue to administer current programs. The challenges and opportunities provided by the Graham Center build a stronger campus, community, and state.
