{"id":166,"date":"2014-10-27T16:56:14","date_gmt":"2014-10-27T20:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/people.clas.ufl.edu\/knack\/?page_id=166"},"modified":"2026-03-19T08:24:59","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T12:24:59","slug":"potential-graduate-students","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/people.clas.ufl.edu\/knack\/potential-graduate-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Potential Graduate Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<section class=\"fullwidth-text-block\">\r\n\t<div class=\"container px-0 pt-5\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"row align-items-start\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Potential Graduate Students<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Potential graduate students should have an interest in studying the neurobiology of drug addiction or the long-term effects of stress.\u00a0 The Psychology Department and the University of Florida provide a competitive environment for graduation education in behavioral neuroscience.\u00a0 There are numerous required and elective courses for the degree offered within the Psychology Dept. but graduate students also have the opportunity to take graduate courses in outside departments\/colleges such as Pharmacy, Genetics, and Neuroscience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Florida has a large group of addiction researchers housed within a variety of departments and colleges, including Pharmacology, Neurosciences, Psychiatry and Psychology. The <a href=\"http:\/\/addictionresearch.health.ufl.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center for Addiction Research and Education<\/a> provides a forum for these researchers to come together to share data, form collaborations and apply for funding.
