Research

I am interested in Global South perspectives to International Relations theories. My dissertation examines China’s foreign policy in Africa and investigates old questions about hegemonic formations and power relation within a new context of South-South encounters. Building on my dissertation, my second project investigates the ways in which China’s rise to power impacts the global order and international institutions. More specifically, I am interested in examining what China’s New Silk Road Initiative and China-led AIIB tell us about China’s role and impact on global governance.
