I am advised by <a href=\"https:\/\/people.clas.ufl.edu\/spollock\/\">Dr. Sara Pollock<\/a>. I am focused on accelerating iterative methods for the generalized eigenvalue problem. I am particularly interested in problems involving large and sparse symmetric matrices. Currently, I am working on accelerating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ms.uky.edu\/~qye\/software.html\">Golub and Ye\u2019s inverse-free Krylov subspace method<\/a> using momentum-type acceleration inspired by Nesterov accelerated steepest descent and Polyak\u2019s heavy-ball method.<\/p>\n<p>I have presented my work at the at the <a href=\"https:\/\/wliao60.math.gatech.edu\/2024ACMWorkshop.html\">2024 Southeast ACM Student Workshop<\/a> poster session, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siam.org\/conferences-events\/past-event-archive\/cse25\/\">SIAM CSE25<\/a> poster session, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siam.org\/conferences-events\/past-event-archive\/an25\/\">Third Joint SIAM\/CAIMS Annual Meetings<\/a> poster session.<\/p>\n<p>Preprints:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(With <a href=\"https:\/\/people.clas.ufl.edu\/spollock\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/people.clas.ufl.edu\/spollock\/\">Sara Pollock<\/a>) <em>Applying acceleration to Krylov subspace eigenvalue solvers<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2603.20590\">arXiv: 2603.20590<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My research lies in the fields of Numerical Analysis and Numerical Linear Algebra.
