Research Overview
My current research interests lie in Eastern Africa, where my students, colleagues and I are engaged in projects on Late Pleistocene refugia and the evolution of modern cultural behavior, the establishment of agriculture and nomadic pastoralism, the ethnoarchaeology of lithic production and hide working, and the protection and conservation of Africa’s cultural heritage.
