General topics include: basic probability, discrete probability distributions, continuous probability distributions, multivariate probability distributions, functions of random variables and limit theorems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">All exams are closed book\/closed notes. You will need a calculator.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Problems will be assigned from each. These will be representative of exam problems and will help you prepare for exams.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Examples covered in class are also likely to appear on exams. It is your responsibility to keep up with all material, or you will find exams very difficult.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">This course makes use of all Pre- and co-requisites, be prepared to use calculus (especially Chapters 4-6)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">No Make-up exams will be given with the exception of medical emergencies or academic reasons.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lectures are the time to ask questions.
