His first book,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/books\/jewish-imperial-imagination\/57AEAB6F4F33D5E1687969F3F5070CDE\"><em>The Jewish Imperial Imagination: Leo Baeck and German-Jewish Thought<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0was named a finalist for the Jordan Schnitzer Book Award of the Association for Jewish Studies in the category of Jewish Thought and Philosophy. He is also the co-editor of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/utorontopress.com\/9781487519209\/covenantal-thinking\/\"><em>The Challenge of Covenantal Thinking: Essays on the Philosophy and Theology of David Novak<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>and author of articles in <em>Comparative Studies in Society and History, Journal of Religion<\/em>,<em> New German Critique<\/em>, and <em>Political Theology <\/em>and other journals and edited volumes<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A former curator at the Jewish Museums Berlin, Yaniv\u2019s current book project is a comparative study of Jewish museums titled <em>Museum: Placing Jews in Boxes<\/em>.
