MW – 6th period (12:50PM – 1:40pm) in LIT 304 and by appointment.

PREREQUISITES:

Grade of B or better in MAS 3300 or MHF 3202, or a grade of C or better in MAS 4105.

TEXT:

Contemporary Abstract Algebra, 9th Edition by Joseph Gallian

Material to be covered:Group Theory up to the fundamental theorem of finite Abelian groups.

GRADING:

The course grade will be based on
Four in-class tests each worth 25% of the grade.
4 x 25% = 100% total
