Cinnamon Williams is a scholar of Black feminist theories and Black women’s histories. She is especially interested in Black feminist treatments of domestic life and labor throughout the late twentieth century. Her research has been supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Social Science Research Council, and the Black Feminist Theory Summer Institute at Duke University. Cinnamon holds her PhD in African American Studies from Northwestern University and her BA in American Studies from Williams College.
