Creating an undergraduate program in meteorology has been a priority for the department of Geography ever since they hired their first faculty in climatology and meteorology in 2005. With added expertise from 2017 onwards, the meteorology program proposal was submitted in 2022. It is currently in process and we are anticipating that an approved program would be able to accept majors from Fall 2024.
