Kevin Ingersent

Interim Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Professor, Department of Physics
Education
Ph.D. Physics, University of Pennsylvania (1990)
B.A. Natural Sciences, University of Cambridge (1984)
Research Interests
Theory of strongly correlated electron systems. Specifically, “non-Fermi-liquid” physics (unconventional metallic properties) arising near the absolute zero of temperature from competition between different spatially delocalized or extended degrees of freedom (e.g., conduction electrons, magnetic interactions) for control over the behavior of localized spins.
