About Me

I am a Ph.D. Candidate at the Department of Political Science, University of Florida, specializing in International Relations and Research Methods. I am expected to defend my dissertation in June 2017. My committee consists of: Laura Sjoberg (chair), Badredine Arfi, Michael Bernhard, Ido Oren, and Elias Dinopoulos.

My dissertation focuses on the hypothetical link between state emergence processes and new state behavior. I am also involved in several ongoing projects concerning democratic survival, sampling algorithms, and territorial disputes among others.
