Dr. Joanna Neville (she/her) is an Assistant Instructional Professor in the Department for Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. Joanna has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a Master of Arts degree in women’s studies, and a Ph.D in sociology from UF. She conducted research for her master’s thesis on gender in college women’s Ultimate Frisbee and played Ultimate Frisbee for many years in college and the greater community. Joanna explored a reproductive identity framework for young women in her dissertation work.
Joanna is committed to educational equity and values the learning process. She is currently serving as the Undergraduate Coordinator in the department.
