Research

While my primary job responsibilities are teaching and student advising I still try to remain activie geoscience research.  My primary research interests center on construction of the oceanic crust at mid-ocean ridges (MORs) and in particular the volcanic systems that occur along the MOR and on near-ridge seamounts.  Most recently I have been involved as part of a multidisciplinary group using geopophysical surveying, the submersible Alvin and the autonomous underwater vehicle Sentry to study  near axis seamounts at 8° 20′ N latitude near the Siqueiros Fracture Zone.

For more detail regarding my geoscience research see my Publications list.  Detail regarding my field experience is provided below.
