Graduate Applicants
The graduate application process can be both exciting and stressful. As one important tip for applying to our program, I encourage applicants to read a few recent publications by potential mentors and articulate clear connections between their research goals and potential mentors’ research. The ideal applicant will have research goals that are synergistic with my research program. In addition, applicants will have the opportunity of being co-mentored by me and Dr. Alyssa Zucker and to work on collaborative or individual projects with both of us.
Applicants interested in working with me are encouraged to pursue preparation in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies (GSWS), for example by taking courses or minoring or double majoring in these areas. You can find more information about UF GSWS courses, minor, and major options here.
In addition to the PhD in Counseling Psychology, students will have the opportunity to earn a Graduate Certificate in the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies.
