This course meets the requirements for the FLL-Arabic major and Arabic minor. This course also has the Gen Ed designations Humanities and International, plus Writing.

Arabic studies Program offers Minor and Major

To get an Arabic minor, you need to do Beginning Arabic 1 and 2, Intermediates 1 and 2, and pick three other courses from the Arabic program. These can be content courses or language courses. Visit https://catalog.ufl.edu/UGRD/colleges-schools/UGLAS/ALL_UMN/

To get an Arabic major, you need to do Beginning Arabic 1 and 2 (ARA 1130-1131), Intermediates 1 and 2 (ARA 2220-2221), Advanced 1 and 2 (ARA 3410-3411), Arabic through the Texts (ARA 4420), and eight additional courses. At least five out of the eight courses must have an ARA or ABT prefix. The remaining three courses may be content courses from other language programs (e.g., Italian).
