SEAM 40

The 40th South Eastern Analysis Meeting

15-17 March 2024

The Southeastern Analysis Meeting (SEAM) promotes interaction between researchers and encourages research and education in the field of analysis. The meeting has a rich history and its main purpose is to bring together experienced and early career mathematicians to discuss recent work and advances in Operator Theory, Classical Complex Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Function Theoretic Operator Theory, and related areas.

SEAM 40 will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning the 15th, 16th and 17th of March 2024, ending by 11:30am on Sunday the 17th. All talks will be in Little Hall.

    • SEAM 40 is supported by the NSF, the University of Florida Department of Mathematics and Center for Applied Mathematics, the College of Liberal Arts, and Office of Research.
    • While the exact amounts will depend upon attendance and demographics, the conference expects to be able to offer significant financial support to many participants, particularly for early career researches, those from groups under represented in mathematics and those without other funding sources.
    • As as SEAM tradition, all reasonable requests to give a 20 minute contributed talk will be accommodated.
    • There is a block of rooms reserved for the conference at the AC hotel at a rate of $159 per night. The hotel is a short walk to the mathematics building where we expect the talks will be held. You will have the opportunity to request a room during registration. The deadline for requesting a room has passed.
    • If you plan to drive, parking restrictions are in force on Friday. There is limited public parking at the Reitz Union. For the most part, parking restrictions are lifted on Saturday and Sunday. Contact Scott if you have questions.

      • The deadline to register, request a 20 minute talk and submit a title and abstract is February 18.
      • The deadline to register and request a room at the AC hotel and support from the conference was January 27.
      • Send your title and abstract directly to Scott (sam at ufl dot edu) in order of preference,
        • Fill out the template abstract-template and return to Scott.
        • Send the title and abstract as latex in the body of an email.
        • Send a latex file with your title and abstract.

  • The Southeastern Analysis Meeting (SEAM) is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment to all participants. Accordingly, SEAM prohibits discrimination, harassment and bullying in any form, on the basis of race, color, religion, veteran status, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy status, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, mental or physical disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, or any other characteristics protected by law. Any suspected violations should be reported to the Organizers, who will promptly and thoroughly investigate the matter and take appropriate action, which may constitute a verbal warning, expulsion from the conference, or possible referral to law enforcement authorities..
