Biography
Teresa Cornacchione earned her doctorate in political science from Florida State University in 2018. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Teresa worked as a Florida public high school teacher in Santa Rosa County, FL. After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Cornacchione taught political science courses at FSU, including Western European Politics, the Politics of the European Union, Introduction to Comparative Politics, and Women and Politics. She then served as a legislative policy analyst with the Florida Legislature’s Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA). Upon moving to Gainesville in 2020, Dr. Cornacchione served as an Alachua County high school social studies teacher for two years. She accepted a position at the University of Florida in 2022. Currently, Dr. “C” serves as the Civic Engagement Coordinator and Lecturer at the Bob Graham Center for Public Service, and has affiliate status with the Department of Political Science. She maintains a love of teaching, and working with students on their academic journey.
