About Me

I am a second year PhD student and Teaching assistant, working under Dr.Michael Jury. I hold the position of Treasurer in the Graduate Mathematical Association. In my free time, I like to sing and watch/play cricket.

Areas of Interest/Research

I am interested in the intersection of Functional Analysis and Complex Analysis – studying spaces of Analytic functions using concepts from Operator Theory.

The entry point of this theory was Donald Sarason’s Interpolation Theorem – using Hilbert space methods to solve the Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem. Currently I’m studying the realm of Complete Pick spaces – spaces for which the interpolation theorem holds at all matrix levels.

Teaching

I take great interest in the teaching and learning of Mathematics at the higher level. I am especially interested in highly interactive teaching methods such as Flipped classrooms, and methods of introducing students to proofs in Mathematics.

Here is a one slide presentation on the Literature review of the effectiveness of Flipped Classrooms in Calculus courses at the college level.

Here is a rough teaching statement based on the first year of my teaching and my general teaching philosophy.

Courses Taught:

Analytic Geometry and Calculus 3 (MAC2313) – Teaching Assistant, Spring 2025

Analytic Geometry and Calculus 2 (MAC2312) – Teaching Assistant, Fall 2024
