Research Interests
My research focuses on human skeletal variation and the forensic identification of marginalized groups. More specifically, I intend to assess the affects of hormonal therapies on skeletal morphology in transgender individuals, and examine the implications of this on the identification of transgender individuals in forensic anthropology. I am additionally interested in examining the generation of microclimates from textile degradation during the post mortem interval, and the impact of such microclimates of the rates of decomposition. My previous research has focused on variation in cranial traits and skeletal indicators of stress in archaeological populations.
