Advising

Undergraduate students

I am invested in providing opportunities for undergraduate student research. In 2023-24, I lead an experimental research group which resulted in the paper Gromov-Hausdorff distances between quotient metric spaces with 7 undergraduate and 2 graduate student co-authors. We are making this an annual activity. For the rest of Fall semester in 2024-25, we are meeting on Thursdays at 12:50-1:40pm in LIT 225.

Graduate students

Most of my graduated PhD students are listed on my Math Genealogy page.

Postdoctoral researchers

  • Alex Elchesen, Colorado State University, Postdoctoral Fellow in Topology, co-advised with Amit Patel. 2022-present.
